The Lady Panthers, who are the 13th District Tournament Runner-Up, had several players recognized during the championship basketball game on Thursday. They are as follows:

All Academic Team: Lexie Day, Malayla Davis, Gabbi Poirer, Loreal Cheaney

All Season Team: Deshale Leblanc, Cheaney

All Tournament Team: Addie Hendley, Poirier, Cheaney

Our Panther basketball team also became the 13th District Runner-Up on Friday night. The following players were honored:

All Academic Team: Micah Naylor, Hunter Armistead, Shawn Steele, Jacob Naylor, Parker Jones, Cameron Carwell

All Season Team: Pedro Bradshaw, Jaylyn McMurry, Jacob Naylor

All Tournament Team: Shon Kees, McMurry, Bradshaw

Pedro was also named CO-MVP of the tournament along with Franklin-Simpson’s Tavin Lovan. Both of these young men have been named as Mr. Kentucky Basketball Finalists and will be honored during the KHSAA State Tournament in Lexington. Before the beginning of the district championship game on Friday night, Pedro was honored for becoming the all-time leading scorer and rebounder for the Panther Basketball Program! Congratulations, Pedro, on these honors!

ARCHERY

The Russellville Archery Team has a very successful weekend at Lewisburg, as well! The high school team shot well enough for a 3rd place overall finish! The following students placed individually:

Kaleb Coursey---1st Place, 9th grade
Blaine Holley—3rd Place, 7th grade
Jennifer Wilkerson—4th Place, 7th grade

The team, which recently qualified for the state tournament in April, will be in action this weekend at Adairville.
