John Hendricks finished an impressive 11th to lead Logan County in the Raider Twilight run at Ephram White Park in Bowling Green, sponsored by Warren East Cross Country.
Coach Joe Dan Laster’s team also got top 40 finishes from Cougars Gage Cousineau and Conner Dill.
The field was tough. Luke Spurrier, grandson of Heisman Trophy winner and national champion coach Steve Spurrier, won the event in a South Warren uniform. He beat Warren East’s Jacob England, who was state Class 2A champion last year.
Emily Jones and Meredith Johnson led the Lady Cougars.
