The Annual Literacy Night was held Thursday, March 5, from 5-8. Each grade level was responsible for creating a 20-minute activity based on a Dr. Seuss book for the students and their families to enjoy. The program started with a read-aloud from teachers Nicole Pedigo, Katie Maiden, Lillie Hoskinson, Katie Kissellbaugh, Cameron Kisselbaugh, Bryan Rush, Cynthia Duncan, and Rebecca Hart. Then Music Instructor Elaine Blythe, provided a few song selections.

The evening meal consisted of soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, and dessert. There were also prizes given throughout the evening.

SES Principal Robin Cornelius said,” I want to give a shout out to the Literacy Team for a job well done! We had a great turnout; close to 300 came out for this great event. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to set up fun activities for our friends and families. It’s safe to say that thanks to all SES staff and faculty, it was another successful Dr. Seuss celebration week.”
