A kayaking trip we’re calling “Kayaking for Carime” will begin at 9 a.m. on Aug 2 at 6152 Corinth Road outside Adairville.

This is for a dear friend of mine who has recently had brain surgery to remove a tumor. They were able to remove 80 percent of it, but she will have to go through chemo and radiation. I wanted to do something to show our support and let her know we are here for her and her family if they need anything. It's a way to get together and say, “Carime, we love you.”

The cost is $25 per kayak (of which $15 will go to Carime and family for whatever expenses they have from this surgery and treatments) and $40 per canoe (of which $20 will go to her also.) I want to rent every kayak and canoe they have. There are 28 kayaks and 6 canoes.

The trip will start at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. The trip will last approximately five hours. Let's do this!

You can either call or text me at 270-725-4173 or message me on Facebook if you have any questions or if you want to sign up.
