Mary Lucy is active in many community outreaches and is a leader of the alumni group.
The very special ceremony held on Jan. 15 at which the 2010 inductees into the Athletic Hall of Fame were honored and introduced was sponsored by the
Russellville Alumni Association. Induction into the Hall of Fame is just one of the activities sponsored by the Association.
Russellville Schools’ alumni group was organized in 2003 “to promote and preserve the spirit and rich history of the Russellville Independent School
District and to enrich the education of our future graduates.”
Seven Panther Spirit Scholarships have been awarded to graduating seniors; Senior Week activities and alumni events have been sponsored and supported;
and scholarships have been provided for students in the Virtual Learning Academy.
The Association’s only sources of income are dues and donations. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 5 p.m., in the Board Room at
Central Office, and input is always welcome. We are especially interested in hearing from any of you who may be planning reunions this year.
