Excavation activities will continue on the Russellville Southern Bypass just West of KY 100 with hauling to continue across U.S. 431. The haul road crossing will remain in place while the contractor hauls excess material from the east side of U.S. 431 to the west side of U.S. 431.

During working hours, U.S. 431 will be controlled by flaggers who will stop traffic along U.S. 431 in order to allow trucks to haul across U.S. 431. During non-working hours, the intersection will not be controlled by flaggers.

For the duration of the haul road crossing, the speed limit through the area will be reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph to ensure adequate stopping sight distance. Advanced warning signs will be in place to alert motorists of the speed zone reduction and the no-passing zone as they approach the intersection.

At this time, the length of the use of the haul road is undetermined.

The temporary diversion of Herndon Road is being used while the permanent approach is being constructed.

Contract crews will also be working on the concrete culvert near the U.S. 79/U.S. 431 intersection.
