Girls had all but one make it through, and she had a battle playing a tiebreaker for the second set and then playing a 10-point tiebreaker for the match. Overall ,the boys finished 4th in the region and the girls tied Glasgow for 6th.
Also playing for the Cougars were eighth grader Trapper McCarley in singles and juniors Joshua Clark and Aidan Hughes as a doubles team. Representing the Lady Cougars in singles were junior Maddie McGinnis and senior Sarah Howard. Doubles teams consisted of seniors Lilian Harris and Breanna Greenwood and juniors Hannah Britt and Bella Gaddis.
Winchester adds, “I was very proud of the dedication and hard work these players showed throughout the season. I look forward to next year and improving their rankings.”
