Eleven different Logan County volleyball players rank in the top five in at least one statistical category in this season to remember and relish.
Coach Caleb Sheffield’s team, which upset a pair of 14th District powers while winning the Fourth Region championship last week, takes a 24-12 record into Monday’s 6 p.m. start at home in the first round of the state tournament.
Their opponent is Fifth Region champion Meade County, which has played 10 fewer matches than the Lady Cougars but sports a 22-4 record.
Signs in many locations around the Land of Logan are wishing the Lady Cougars well at state, including a large digital board next to the Logan County Career & Technical Center.
