As the school year comes to an end and the Class of 2018 prepares to graduate Sunday, we want to thank you all for your continued support of our efforts to provide the students access to the best education possible. We value the collaboration we have with families and the community as a whole, and we look forward to working with you all even more in the future.

We will see those returning students back at LCHS Wednesday, Aug. 1 for the first day of the 2018-19 school year.

Have a great summer.

Graduation note

Another high school will be graduating at 2 p.m. at Diddle Arena Sunday. I have been assured by the WKU transportation department that there will be plenty of parking between the two garages by the arena. Please plan accordingly.

Class of 2018 by the numbers

·   We recognized over 60 honors graduates at a banquet this past week.

·   Members of the Class of 2018 have earned $3.2 million dollars in scholarships and over $1.5 million in KEES money and taken over 2700 dual credit hours, saving themselves and their families another $1 million in college tuition.

·  The soon-to-be graduates returned to their respective K-8 schools Thursday morning to celebrate those teachers and staff members for the foundation they helped establish. Representatives from each class presented a picture of graduates from their respective school.
