Russellville High School Principal Rex Booth has been selected to participate in the Leadership Institute for School Principals starting this summer.
The Institute was created by the Kentucky Chamber Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing Kentucky in education, health and wellness, energy, government efficiency, and global competitiveness. To reach one of its main strategic goals of advancing the educational attainment of Kentuckians, the Chamber Foundation created the Leadership Institute.
Now entering its eleventh year, the Leadership Institute has accepted a class of 48 principals from schools across the state.
This opportunity wouldn’t be possible without the help of some very generous local sponsors. Booth’s leadership experience will be valued at approximately $12,000 by the completion of the program.
“Business leaders from across the state stepped in to sponsor a principal from their community because they understand principals' impact on our future workforce,” Booth says. “When I learn who those sponsors were, I plan to reach out and thank each of them personally.
“I am very fortunate to have been selected to participate in the Leadership Institute and look forward to further developing my leadership skills in order to best serve the students and staff that put their trust in me to lead them each day.”
