Early statistics for Lady Cougar volleyball released

The statistical leaders for Logan County Volleyball to start the 2018 season have been released and compiled.

After the first six matches, Coach Steven Lyne’s team had a 4-2 record with three of the wins against district opponents Franklin-Simpson (25-13, 25-13, 25-8), Russellville(25-3, 25-3, 25-12) and Todd Central (25-9, 25-6, 25-13) for a combined score of 225-79, including 150-47 in the first two games of the matches.

The other win came over Bowling Green in a marathon that had the Lady Purples ahead 2-0 before the Lady Cougars came back to win the last three games (15-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-12).

These were the leaders for various categories:

Kills: Karrah Cron 71, Onahkah Fuller 28, Zoe Steenbergen 26, Rachel Dezarn 22

Serving Aces: Cron 20, Maria Bertusi 17, Olivia Bouldin 10, Micah Page 7, Steenbergen 6

Serving Percentage (minimum 20 attempts): Blayke Bingham 100, Bertusi 92.7, Cron 90.7, Steenbergen 90.6, Brittany Garrett 87.0, Hayley Schweers 86.5

 Blocks: Madelyn Yonts, Cron and Dezarn 3 each, Steenbergen, Page and Fuller 2 each

Digs: Kron 64, Steenbergen 44, Bingham 33, Schweers 29, Abby Canler 13, Fuller 12

Assists: Schweers 111, Bertusi 34

Service Receptions: Cron 52, Bingham 49, Shelby Cross 43, Steenbergen 28, Canler 24, Fuller 23
