Logan Telephone Coopertative

It is clear that we are all experiencing unprecedented challenges as cases of COVID-19 continue to rise and management of this situation rapidly evolves. We have been keeping up with information from appropriate sources and all of our decisions and outcomes are centered around keeping our employees, members, and community safe and healthy.

We know the broadband and phone services we provide remain critical for students, businesses, health care, and other applications in the days ahead. We take very seriously the continuity of business operations, so our network is stable and available all the time. We will continue to prepare for the impacts of COVID-19, and we will continue to actively review and update our business continuity plan to address the ever-changing nature of this situation. We are considering all options to help maintain operations and provide uninterrupted service to members.

As of Monday, March 16, we implemented new policies for our staff and our operations to continue to provide service without interruptions to the best of our ability.

Beginning Wednesday, March 18, our headquarters customer service center in Auburn will be closed for in-person transactions. Certain circumstances may arise where an appointment may be necessary, but we will do our best to support “social distancing” to help our community to do our part in “flattening the curve”.

If you have flu like symptoms within two weeks of our technician working at your location, please contact the office so we can take the appropriate measures to ensure the safety of our staff member, employees, and community.

We are taking other measures based on the advice of the CDC, and other experts, to try and keep our facilities free of the virus and protect our employees and members.

Auburn Banking Company

Auburn Bank has also announced it is closing both lobbies for most transactions. The LoJo previously posted the entire announcement on our Facebook page. Portions of it follow:

Auburn Banking Company closed its lobbies Wednesday. The drive-through windows at both locations remain open and at full function. We will also continue to see loan customers and open accounts by appointment only. We ask that you call and schedule an appointment for these services. Any transaction conducted on a normal basis at the teller stations inside our bank can and will be conducted through our drive-through windows during normal banking hours.

We are not closing, we are not panicked and we will continue to take great pride in our service to you. Auburn Banking Company is striving to be proactive before there are confirmed cases in our community and not reactive after the fact.

We also want to be able to continue to serve our valued customers and we cannot do it if someone on our staff contracts the virus and the remainder of that location’s staff to be quarantined.

Price Funeral Home

Governor Andy Beshear has specifically addressed Funerals in Kentucky. He stated that he knows these are difficult decisions to make and yes it’s hard on the families that have lost loved ones but this has to be done to protect the citizens of Kentucky.

The requirement for Kentucky Funeral Homes as set for by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear is as follows:

All funerals in Kentucky are limited to the “Closest of Family” with “Private Burials”

Gov. Beshear said the overriding goal of the order is to minimize in-person interaction, which is the primary means of transmission of COVID-19. The immediate implementation of the order is necessary as patrons of public-facing businesses gather in large numbers, in close proximity to each other and in enclosed spaces, endangering the health of customers and staff.

“For those out there trying to find an exception, if you’re not truly engaging in social distancing, if you are not taking those steps, it will force further action,” Gov. Beshear said. “Not that we want to take it, but we have to protect everybody. It’s all of our duties. Look for ways to be a part of the solution as opposed to being an exception to what we’re putting out there.”
