Each month, the schools in the Logan County System report “Good News” items to the board. The following are the reports for August:
DISTRICT:
- The Back to School Ready Fest was held in July at the Extension Office. Both Russellville Independent and Logan County School Systems participated. Over 700 students attended and received school supplies, haircuts, physicals, and other great back to school information. The Logan County Schools Family Resource and Youth Services Centers across the district all participated and volunteered, making the event successful.
ADAIRVILLE:
- Adairville middle school students are collecting pennants from colleges and universities that they are interested attending. These pennants will be displayed in a collage in the middle school hallway with pictures of students who would like to attend a specific school.
AUBURN:

CHANDLERS:
- Chandlers School has gotten off to a smooth start this year. Members of Watch DOGS were visible the first day of school and have been present in the building every day to help students and staff.
LCHS:
- The following young men and women were named as Academic All-State in Track and Field. Thanks to their great teachers and congratulations to the students!
