On Friday, June 4, Norm Menser of Russellville was presented an award for dedicated service to the Kentucky healthcare design and construction
profession.
The Kentucky Society of Healthcare Engineers (KSHE) recognized Menser, who served for 14 years as the state inspector for healthcare facilities in
Kentucky. Menser retired from the Cabinet for Health Services (CHS) in 2005. After his retirement, Mr. Menser and his wife Janet returned to
Russellville where they had raised their children.
This was the inaugural award and all future awards will be named after Menser. KSHE will be giving the Norman N. Menser Award in the future to
individuals who make a positive contribution to the improvement of healthcare buildings in Kentucky.
