The sixth annual musical presented by students from the five middle schools in the Logan County System—Adairville, Auburn, Chandlers, Lewisburg and Olmstead—will be staged four times this weekend at Crossroads Church near City-County Park with bonus productions for students from these schools on Monday.

One of the greatest kid-friendly shows of all time, The Wizard of Oz, will be shown in its Young Performers Edition format. The 1939 film is one of the most popular ever.

Show times for the public are Friday at 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 and 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are only $5 each.

The school resource centers have been instrumental in making this happen with Melanie Gragg Manley as the coordinating producer.

Seven of the cast members appeared on WBKO’s Midday television program Wednesday.

The cast includes about 80 students, many of whom have been practicing three days a week for several weeks. Most of the major roles are double cast.

Parents have been involved in practices, costuming, set decoration and countless other roles that are needed to make this large a production a reality.
